Based in Barcelona, Renata Brito is a Brazilian video journalist with the Associated Press. She has covered the coronavirus pandemic in both Spain and her native Brazil reporting from inside hospitals, cemeteries and people’s homes. In Europe, Renata has reported extensively on migration and its effects on borders and human rights, spending weeks at a time on international rescue missions at sea.

 

In 2021 Renata was named Young Talent of the Year at the Royal Television Society Television Journalism Awards.
